Currently have my stock 2016 at the dealer for the dreaded 70 MPH vibration problem. Last resort before I dive in and do the ECGS bushing install. (I'd be fine with the dealer replacing the needle bearing if it would last another 8 years!)

Two sets of tires, one new. Balanced at 3 different shops, all pretty much agree. Last shop used the road force machine and said that my tires and rims were fine.

Deep cleaned mating surfaces at all 4 hubs, rotors, hubs, drums and inside of wheel. Purchased a set of new stock lug nuts and installed. Install and torque wheels using established procedures.
Rear axle, U-joints and CCB all good. I lube slip yoke every 6 months.

When lifted on jack stands with traction control off, at 65 MPH indicated, vibes don't appear in 2WD, only in 4WD. Same thing with front wheels removed and rotors secured to hub.
Inspected both CV axles, and I was convinced that the driver's side is setting up that vibration, BEFORE I even read about it here. The skid plate shakes only on that side, and the axle itself does not spin true (about 1/8 inch of radial runout). Also about 1/4 inch of up/down play in the driver's side CV shaft at the front diff.

Of course, dealer says they cannot duplicate due to speed limits and that everything looks fine. said no TSBs on the front CV axle. I seem to remember someone here saying that one existed, but searches for it have returned nothing.

Anyone know if there is in fact a TSB on the front CV axle and if so, how to find it?

    Thanks a ton!

The TSB a driveline vibration in 2WD not 4WD, its usually lower speeds 25-40mph. You feel it in your foot, the passenger often cant even sense it.

All toyotas have this play in the left shaft, but excessive will cause issues, if you search cv axle play on here you'll find hundreds of people just curious under their truck finding play with no complaints.

I'm not convinced its your issue, but it might be next on the list of things to try.

The truck is just not the best for higher speeds and sometimes its just harmonics.
