I cut some wires here. Added some wires there.
I'd get the TSB done regardless, not if you only need it. That's bullshit. I want every damn thing coming to me, from leaf springs to those shitty pastic clips for the floor mats. The dealership gets no free passes from me, I damn sure don't get any free passes from them. It's overall just a better, more capable leaf pack and this time next year you won't notice any difference in the ride between the break in and just getting used to it.

Search, there are lots and lots of threads with advice on how to get the dealership to ok it if you happen to get shot down the first time.

    You don't want to know...
After a little off roading, I had my one day old leaf pack squeaking.

I take a big flat head screw driver, and motorcycle chain lube... Pry the leaves apart a little and shoot a blast of chain lube in... Good as new.

    Stock for now....
    Update:
I just got my truck back and it's not bad. It's a little stiffer not much. I would recommend everyone to get it. It feels alot more sturdy.

Now what do I have to do to level it?

I have been watching the posts about the 4th leaf spring for a while but was not sure if I needed it done because I don't usually have much weight in the bed. Well my son asked me to help him P/U some 50 lb. bags of sand at Home Depot this weekend so I tried an experiment.

The weight limit on my truck was 1100 lbs so on the first run i put 20 bags (1000 lbs) in the bed. Worked great. On the second run I decided to overload the truck with 25 bags (1250 lbs). Between my weight and the sand I had 1470 lbs in the truck and it ran great. It did not bottom out or steer crazy. I just made sure that I keeped a bigger distance between me and the car in from of me because of braking power with the extra weight.

With that said I will not be getting the extra spring put in.

    Damn, I love my Tacoma 4DLB P/U.
