I took my 2017 Taco Limited for the 10,000 mile service. They had a TSB for it. The TSB recalibrated the transmission(whatever that means?). It now shifts quietly, quickly, and efficiently!

    Very nice OP...

I've been seeing a few of these threads popping up regarding the ECU and TSB. I am almost at 3k miles on my Taco and still have a little ways to go to the first 5k service. Should I just go in and ask to see if this update applies to me or just wait?? Coming from a V8 Ford I've seen a big difference in how this truck accelerates and how responsive the throttle is. Honestly though, I am just about figuring out how to drive it and have been driving it waaaaaay easier on the pedal...

There is an ECU update and a TCM update (I think is what the acronym is). Separate update for trans software, anyway.
