    Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.

    I just had to take a few minutes to process when we got back. New to my Pavement Princess getting hurt was all.

    <shrug>
    • Corner light - had an exact replacement sitting in the garage since I had to buy another set to replace the OTHER side that I broke somewhere along the line.
    • Grill - I'll pull it off and respray all the black at some point. Starting to look a little faded anyway.
    • All four wheels scratched up - I'll touch up with black. Shit'll paint out.
    • Center cap - Discount Tire just ordered me a new one - $15. Next time, drive around the rock, idiot.
    • Windshield - No annoying chips in my line of sight, so meh. And you did offer to make it right, which is all that can be expected and very appreciated.
    Shit happens, we're all good, and I'll go again in a heartbeat.

    On the plus side...
    • Right slider got kissed, so it did it's job. Again, black paint and all good. Or maybe I'll just leave it to show off.
    • Zero body damage
    • Skids are all scratched up, which is exactly what they are for and why I have extra paint in the garage.

    Scary:
    • Almost rolling the Eff over
    • Found this underneath as well...drive shaft candy striping

    So, for next year it looks like more under armor will be in the budget. Yes, I said "next year" - especially since I didn't get to try one of Ben's condoms.
    ..
    ..
    :eek::D

    Interesting Factoid: Filled up at that Shell station, trailed Friday, Saturday, and home Sunday...about 90 miles.

    We stayed up way late (sometime after 1AM) and everybody slept in and he didn't get any out.

    Oh, speaking of sleeping in... HEY BEN...

    Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
    So the big Rock on cedar tree was all down by right slider... on the square tube. I guess they did their job as well. The big pointy rock though did a number to my 1/4" skid and got my cross member just a bit. Nothing worse though until I can really get under the truck to check. Hoping that is soon.

    I got a couple new scrapes on my skids and used my sliders to rotate around stuff (trees mostly) more than I ever have before. It was a hell of a good time! Awesome food, tons of laughs, some excellent scenery, great wheeling with some hilarious, genuinely good dudes. I'm already looking forward to next year.

    Oops, forgot the blown ball joint boot.

    I'm feeling a bit messed up today, but I need to see if the poked tie rod boot is on the tie rod I may want to replace.

    Bad ass pictures guys! What all trails did you guys hit up? And other than Ben's little accident and usage of skids/sliders, any damage to report?

    Just Cedar Tree, University Firepower, and what's left of Saddle Up. I tried FB5, but there's two boulders in the middle that are in bad spots and I didn't feel like battling for an hour.

    What happened to saddle up? Did they get rid of the gatekeepers

    So if I read the map right, you drive to a dead end and there's a trail to the right (west?) and a trail to the left (east?).
    The trail to the right is what used to be Saddle Up, but is now two gatekeepers and just a long, smooth switchback with a few stumps (see picture below of upper gatekeeper)

    [IMG]

    The trail to the left is something I've never been on before, and I tried solo. It follows a hillside and makes you a bit squeamish if you don't like heights. Tight obstacles with trees, rocks, roots. I got up to a section that starts going uphill and begins with a rock garden when I gave up. The below picture is of the spot after I backed up and got the truck settled. Although the picture smooths out the obstacles, the left side was a shelf, with the right side (beginning at the rock in the middle and extending to the right side stump) being too narrow for me to squeeze. The left side shelf had too big of a rock for me to feel like I wouldn't scrape up a driveline, so I went right, attempting to put my driver tires up on the rocks, and then head diagonally left across so I could get to the next section. Unfortunately, that rock in the middle was big enough to at least get me on three tires. I tried coming at it not as direct, but same issue. It was too much for comfort, and the hillside right after the stump is pretty close to a direct drop.

    It would be a good trail to try again with a spotter, but I cashed in my chips and played it safe. No damage, no injury, I can live with that!
