A vehicle can't think, it can react to things that are programed into it, but in no way, can the truck avoid something that hasn't been programed into the computer.
In todays world of let me look at the phone, and not drive while I'm driving, people are just wanting a non driving experience while they drive.
Take the bus, make it better for all of us.

no, it's our data, we bought the truck, we should be able to see it, delete it, save it if we want.

Wish you could say you witness this too, as there a chance the computer was right and wildlife or object flew in front of her and she didn't even notice (distracted phone txt msg, makeup, kids). My wife tells me some crazy stuff and I have to give her the logical explanation.

When you end up in court and charged with manslaughter you will understand how valuable your 4th amendment was.

Yeah, well my wife said she didn't accidentally slip the clutch and roll back into the garage.

I still had to clean up the broken plastic and replace the tail light...

But I guess I ultimately "took what she said at face value" (at least I let her think that)

So anyone have any luck getting the TSS removed and error codes removed? Dying here.

I didn't read all the pages on this thread, but for what it's worth, I had the dealership make it so whatever state the system is in sticks when the vehicle is turned off. So once I turn it off, it is always off. Adaptive cruise still works, however I don't use it. There is a yellow light on the dash indicating the system is deactivated, which sucks, but better than unwanted tech designed for poor drivers.

my problem is I put an aftermarket grill, unplugged the TSS and keep getting a B.S. error code... None of the dealers will help me out. They say it's a safety issue. I keep asking, "then why aren't the 2017> Tacomas considered 'safety issues'?" No one has an answer :frusty:

I see. You could plug the sensor back in and mount it out of the way. It would at least get rid of the error... I went with the TRD Bro grille and mounted it without a garnish. So it's there, but off. And yea, dealerships are completely useless...Can't stand those places.
