If you want, try it and see if it works. Why don’t you want to use the garnish though?

You can run without it, but it will get covered in snow, ice, mud, fill with water, and may get hit with a rock and get broken. Your choice, $50 for a cover, or $300+ for a new sensor.

Up to you. I paid the $50, some pay more to get the oem one. Or you can risk it.

Just curious, what garnish is everyone using? I’ve had bad luck with 2 so far. I currently don’t have one installed. (Works fine but want the piece of mind.) Links?

I ordered this one on Ebay for my Dads truck for Christmas along with a grille. Came in brown paper like the OEM garnish should instead of a box (some of which say radriator). Can't say for sure if its OEM since I haven't opened it.

Those are likely to work but definitely NOT OEM.

Theres a few aftermarket manufacturers now but eBay sells all of them as OEM which sucks but theres not much you can do about that. That makes it hard to know which aftermarket versions work and which dont, the only thing I can say is that the ones WE sell have worked 100% so far. OUR company taco is using our version of the aftermarket and has had ZERO issues in over 6K miles. None of our customers have reported any issues with it either.

Well shit. Your site was out of stock on the pro grille last week so I went to Ebay. Oh well.

I got a DMM for Christmas last year.

There are two options. Is the more expensive one actually OEM? Or are they both aftermarket? Can’t tell from the photos.

I believe the expensive option is oem. I and many others have used the aftermarket with no issues. I’ve driven through all the elements and it’s worked perfectly. Very happy with the grille and the garnish

The more expensive option is REAL OEM Garnish. Guaranteed.

We offer the OEM because many people want the OEM but its expensive so we carry the best aftermarket version that we could source, and its proven to work great so far.
