Pretty sure I got this, but thought Id double check. First slushy snow since got the Taco. Im not one, and never have been one, to do much more than wipe away whatever snow is in my drivers view. Got the PCS off light. First time Ive seen it so surprised me a little. Stopped to pick up beer and did a quick swipe of the emblem knocking away the little slush that was there. When I got back in after store, everything was fine.
I assume the TSS is just very sensitive to stuff like slush and ice, but just wanted to check with you guys to make sure thats all it is and this is super common. Thanks.

Edit....fwiw, I did a little search, but everything came up about the pro grill swap issues with the garnish which I dont care about cuz it doesnt apply.

Which is why self driving cars will never be a thing until smart people find a way to see through snow, rain and fog. So far they have not figured it out. So, clear it off or it won't work.

When I lived in the snow belt I had the same issue. This is why all tests and trials are done in SoCal and Arizona.

The camera actually has a heater on it, but manufacturers actually expect the operator to keep wiping as it they drive.

I find the emblem radar covers have more issues than the flat ones like on the pro or 4runners. No heater would work yet.

Worst was the old radar like Sequoia and Sienna, god awful and rain would make them fail.

I get annoyed if I have any snow, ice, or condensation blocking my vision. Luckily I don't have to park outside much.

However, a clean windshield will not prevent the lane change alert from giving lots of false positives when snow is partially covering the lines on the road.

Sad that too many folks can't reason their way through issues like this. The technology is great but it's not 100% foolproof.

I did reason my way thru it. Youd realize that if you read the first post. As stated twice, I was double checking. Never had safety features like this before. Or any saftey features for that matter. Lighten up elitist...

My apologies. I get carried away at times. I wasn't specifically dunning you. After wading through numerous inane posts that could have been easily answered by a brief search, I felt compelled to respond to the ignorant masses - not you specifically.

As a side note, just noticed my original title was changed. Apparently, the term rookie which I used to describe myself with TSS is offensive (maybe, Im guessing).
Thanks mods, good to know Big Brother is watching out for us dullards.

Might as well just delete the whole thing...
