I need help . I own a 2019 sr5, just installed a new trd grl with garnish. No issue with my tss but I need to know if my truck still have that safety features which allows my truck to press the breaks on its own. Please could someone shine ✨ a light to my concern

Are you talking about the drcc? It should still work, like you said you have no issues with tss. Also, pre-collision will alert you with a beep and "BRAKE!" on the dash but will not apply brakes for you (happened to me once). But i may be wrong :D

It will apply breaks if you do not. Also I think I read somewhere that in this situation it will also amplify the break force more so than under normal breaking to help stop the truck faster.

Really? I didnt know that. When it happened to me there was a flashing BRAKE! and beep on my dash but i didnt feel the truck brake on its own or maybe i step on the brake before it did. Well thats good to know.

Well, there is only one way to find out.....

I have not personally had an issue. After installation, I did a test run and made sure that lane drift alerts and the cruise control distance sensors worked as before. They did. Eventually, I did have a "BRAKE" alert when someone stopped in front of me a little faster than I was anticipating. I have not had it apply the brakes, but my experience in other vehicles, is that self-braking tends to come on pretty late in the process.
