Now this is "weird". I got the wifey an updated Fire Stick for the LR tv, and stuck the old one back in the Sun Room for me. Son has set up the ESPN + App on it, and I am watching the game with only the PA announcer, Ref, and crowd noise. He likes it, and am starting to figure out why. It is a different thing, this view a lot like being at the game, but with close ups when needed.

Well, the ditch lights and brackets came I today. Install of the hardware went easy enough..

    20190107_154908.jpg

Routed the wire harness and got it all secured. Tested with the crappy little switch that the harness came with, everything working just fine.

Go to hook up the OEM style.switch, and the damn thing is a momentary. And I manage to burn it out....

Try a different.switch, bench tested and. Verified it is in fact working as expected.

Hook everything up as expected to be right..

Poof there goes the magic smoke, again...

    20190107_191523.jpg

Now I get to rebuild the switch...

If anyone from the TTC fam would like to join us on a little hill country drive this weekend, here are the deets.

    Ok, here is the route.

We will meet up at 39 in Kerrville at lets say 9am at Stonehenge, I have the route started at Chilies but that was just a starting point. We will give everyone about 30 min to show up, and from there we will move out. The road will take us up through Hunt, we will pass Hunt and turn off on 187. We will follow 187 until we get to 337, will follow that until we get Lower Sabinal River Road which turns into West Sabinal Road. We will tie back into 187 again and follow that up to 470 and turn east where we will turn off onto S Seco Creek Road. S Seco Creek Road will have a mix of low water crossings and dirt roads which does show to turn into farm road 111. 111 has some of the same conditions as Seco Creek Road, we will take a left onto 211 and start working our way back towards Bandera, we will take another left onto 462 and head north for a short spell and then take a right onto 131 (dirt road) which turns into Bandera Creek Road. We will stay on this road until we meet up with 1077 which then will dump us out on the south side of Bandera. Once there we will regroup and see where timing is at for the day as the two routes will just put us over a 100 miles for this little trip, this route is just part of the Texas Overland File but I just made a separate route for us to work off of. If we all meet back in Kerrville for Dinner or late afternoon get together then the plan was to meet at Chilies and we will just take 173 north back to Kerrville.

If you got questions or comments hit me up.

As opposed to sinking my truck in a creek, this is what I would LOVE to do! Great plan, and so sad I can't do this Saturday. Would you do something later this year, that is similar? It sounds like a beautiful trip! Thanks for sharing, because I know someone is going to want to do this with you!

Im sure your truck could handle this route without much if any issues. Will plan another one later this year.

Oh, everyone can laugh all they want, I KNOW that I can do mud puddles! And I did cross a couple creeks getting in that place. Just a little sideways is all!
