Almost done with my move off-post. I pray the movers arrive on-time tomorrow to take my stuff to my new house in Temple. I need to finish this get-out-of-the-military stuff and hang with my TTC peeps again.

    :spy:

They let my boss go the other day for something she did. She's been here nearly 30 years, and I've been with her for 25.

Needless to say a lot of clients were upset as well and the team has been cranking extra hard to make them feel loved. Sad part is, even though I am working a shit tone of OT a lot of it is non billable so a small part of it is free for them. I'm not salary and that's cool when I can work OT and get time and a half but since this is a crisis it kinda sucks. In the long run it should pay off.

So I've been super busy and this thread moves so damn fast I can hardly keep up.......

But thanks for asking about me Kurt. I know at my age you have to use a mirror sometimes to make sure :D

Oh, I remember reading about your boss on some other thread now! Sometime, the mirror only works when pointed in different directions, not just one. Chin up, and all our support from down here is certainly with you!

Pretty sure he's been to every meet since I joined, but I never see him around town, and doesn't post here as much as SOME people!

Yea, we used to be 9 people on the team and 5 of us totalled over 140 years of experience. We are like family. I've seen all their kids grow up, bla bla bla. When they made the announcement in a meeting and the boss wasn't there I immediately thought there was a death, like her husband, or one of her kids, or even her. She was on the road a lot doing her job so a lot of shit can go through your mind in 3 seconds. Then to make matters worse all they told us was "She is no longer with the company". I saw her that morning at 10 am. The meeting was two hours later. They escorted her out and that only means one type of separation from this company. I may never know what happened. I texted her, expressed my pain, and all she texted back was Thanks. Likely too hard for her. I could not call her because I would have broke hearing her voice.

Just how corporate America works these days. No one is safe. Typically they allow a couple strikes so something huge had to have happened.

Just been sad, and sucky since then, then on top of it the workload tripled. Got home last night at 9:30 then had to eat, pass out and get up and do it all over again.

Thanks for the kind words Will. I try to be present here as much as I can because I know this is also like a family to me. And you cra cra FKers make me laugh!
