I got 25% on mine, had to peel it off to get a saftey sticker. Turns out stock glass is 3%-4% tint, so it tested at 21%

Did they change the laws? Last time I got a car tinted you couldn't be darker than 25% on the driver's and front passenger windows. The back windows could be as dark as you wanted I had gone 5% at the time . The eyebrow could be as dark as you wanted, but the AS1 line came into play if you had one

To add, any reputable tint shop would not set you up illegally

So the shop screwed up and set you up illegally. I would make them re-do the tint

That sucks, probably why, When I had my old car done. I asked to have the 2 fronts darker and the tint guy I went to said hell no and that doing it the correct way would make the entire car darker anyway

I was used to it already...that is usually one of my first mods on all vehicles is tint. As long as you can use your mirrors or have a backup cam. Occasionally I will have to roll the windows down in front to see the side mirrors better. A backup cam is clutch for this. But it is extra nice when people behind you have their blinders on...doesn't even phase me.

There is a vendor that goes to Cars & Coffee called XPEL ceramic coatings. I think one of the guys in the ATX thread used them for his headlights recently? Blake(@medjah) maybe?

I'm just going to paint all my windows black, including the windshield. Looks cool and blocks out all of those harmful UV rays.

I'd like my glass just a slight bit darker but I don't like them too dark.

spoke to the guys at mothers tint on lamar and he said itd be $250 to do the whole windshield and $100 per window for that ceramic tint. Is that a lot? I mean he said theres cheaper tint options but thats for the UV blocking good stuff. Idk what to do :annoyed:
