That happens less than one thinks,
The form 4473 details that specific question and does not say yes or no.

The dealers are telling me that paper and out of state I’d is not legal for weapon purchase, due to residency. Yet Texas specifies the residency can be established when one has a job, address in state, car or home owners insurance, utility bills........

Still can’t find a “law” federal or state that says one must have a TX license to prove residency.......

Hell if Commifornia alows out of state id for purchase......what is up here?

Yup, it bothers me. It reminds me of CA and the “secret” laws they have......

Well, I'm afraid I won't be making CnC Austin tomorrow. Spent another 10hr day at our repeater site today. Sun baked and done! Need tomorrow to take care of things around the house and chill. Y'all have fun!

Thanks! After a long work week I wanted to chill today and make it to CnC tomorrow, but when work needs to be done on our HAM radio repeaters I just have to step up and help. I can't use them and not do anything to maintain or advance them. We're working on getting one of them moved to a digital mode. It's exciting for some of us HAMs but other old timers are kicking and screaming, fighting the future. :D

As an old analog guy, I know the feeling. I love my old LP's and a turntable, but (thanks to son#2) about 200 of them fit on a little I-thing I have to remember to take with me. (He left me instructions, so I better get busy before he takes his tower!).

Digital signals can go anywhere. Analog, is literally, the "AM radio" of the world now. Kick them in the shins, because any higher won't matter!

:rofl:Yep! we'll get them there. When 5 guys in the group are all talking about international contacts, and how much fun we're having while they sit there....well, they'll get jealous and have to join in! One of the guys that can't afford a new digital radio spent 10 hours on the tower last weekend. We got together an bought him one as payment. The future is here!:headbang:
