Clear enough. Just trying to keep track of the "spinning" tires. It would seem that 4WD REALLY means 2 axles drive, and you have to go from there. This is something that has never been in my brain train, so IF I really wanted 4WD when I put it in 4WD, I would need some form of locker (but why the other types I don't understand). Gearing is gearing, so I get all the crawl and that. That all simply boils down to "get a grip"

 

How y'all doin'? Haven't been around much lately. Dealing with being suspended, and possibly fired behind junk not even within my control. That's why I didn't spend the gas $$ to go to CNC Sunday. Saw lots of pics on FB. Wish I could have made it.

Got my 10K service done today at 8,500 miles because the "Maintenance Needed Soon" message popping up. They actually did the radar sensor recall on it, despite the aftermarket grill and lift. And a tire rotation. A productive afternoon.

 

That's basically it. 4WD is two axle drive. Lockers lock the wheels to the same rotation on that axle, the more that are getting power, the more traction you get.

Reliable- yea
Economical - yea, like not much to maintain when in good shape
MPG - 46 - 52? Try that with some other stuff!
Haul stuff? 12 bags of mulch without folding down the seats!
Fun to drive? - it's a go cart when you figure it out.
Isn't that what a "daily driver" is supposed to be about.

 

oh trust me Kurt I learned that I would not be above driving a Prius recently. Drove the Ford Fusion Hybrid we have at the office for the past 3 days to and from Minneapolis and I was really jealous of getting 42MPG on the highway.

 

I rode my Harley to Chris's house to work on Dylan's truck to save gas myself lol

 

That's pretty good! And Imagine when that is what is NOT on YOUR gas bill. When I got the wife the first one, and still had the truck - I could not believe the difference in the gas bill. Well, we went to two Prius after that. It's my money after all! Now, we don't have to go anywhere, so we have a Taco and a Niro (Hybrid).

 

I want a bike but my wife is against me getting one.

True enough lol. But I armor up as much as I can if I'm getting close to Austin or other big metro areas or riding farther than 1 hour away. Heat still counts lol.
