Austin drivetrain built my new driveshaft for the jeep couple years back. They where able to build one for less than I could find one online. And not only that, but I was able to drip off the old shaft so they could measure. And gave them a. Bit extra to ship since I needed it fairly.quick and would. Be Unable to drive back down to get it.

    Good morning TTC!

Got my windows tinted yesterday - so much better. Next thing I’m looking at is tonneau covers. What would you guys recommend as far as hard covers go? I want something that will keep valuables in the bed safe and durable enough to support gear on top if needed.

I have this on the Tundra, works for me.

    It will support 400 pounds.

Thanks, fellas. Comparing a roll up to a panel version, the pro of the roll up is that your back window isn't blocked by a folded up panel. The negative is that there is no halfway open position; it's either closed or rolled all the way up.

My Tundra tailgate locks with the doors, so when the cover is flat and latched, and the tailgate locked, it's pretty secure. Cutting the vinyl is just going to expose the interlocked aluminum slats.

My stepdad got a diamondback cover, super strong! The downside is that it’s heavy as hell. Takes at least two people to get it on and he has to take it off completely to hook up the fifth wheel.

Good to know. I’ve got the power locking tailgate on the Taco so I’m glad it’s making you feel like it’s all locked down pretty good.

Would you say the roll up process is pretty easy? Like, would it be practical if you had to open it once or twice a day every now and then?

That is the other one I was going to mention, but couldn't remember the name; thought it was gladiator, for some reason. Definitely good if someone wants to carry a lot on top.

Ridiculously easy. Pull the latches open, start rolling it up, and move to one side of the truck to complete the roll; if it takes ten seconds, I'd be surprised. When rolling it back flat, you simply give it a push toward the end of the truck bed and it will roll itself flat. When I wash my Tundy, I roll it up just for easier access to wash the roof, (standing in the bed), then roll it back flat to rinse off the top while keeping the Bedrug dry.
