Looks like the brewery event was awesome. Wish I could have gone.

I had a great time with Maner, today.

I took my daughter to Austin Parks & Pizza last night, I dominated everyone on the track... those 10 year olds couldn’t hang. Even Lapped all of them. I got a few bad looks from spectators.

Down. If I'm gonna be in a club, let's do some more events!

No offense to Chad at all, he has enough to deal with on his end. Everyone else needs to step up and help out with making this grow and more things happen. Cota once a month is middle school shit people, lets pump up those numbers

I mean. I could easily just pick a random place every month but I'd rather it not be what I want to do all the time.

After all, its yalls club I just promote and try to recruit good people.

Ah, remember the bonfire, the good munchies, the available camping in the country?
Nope, because only three members came when offered up in Lockhart by our member.
    20190309_210903.jpg 20190310_194818.jpg

I went to the SATX meetup that AM and made it, but Lockhart is so far away.....
Now I am NOT picking on anyone, but we have like one BBQ place you could park and eat. I tried to put a "mini-meet" together for Hot Rods & Hatters back in February, but they moved the meet. And I had THREE people who wanted to come eat BBQ, drink beer at the brew pub, and see cars. It is NOT easy to please everyone.
We DO have a great new brew pub, but if HALF the normal C&C crowd showed up, Fire Marshall would be there, plus you would just have to park wherever.
I'd LOVE to go somewhere other than COTA, and I do! Yes, mostly it is a parking lot, but a couple SATX members put up a good fun run a couple months ago that I had no fear of making. Camping wasn't required, and we had a place to go for food if we wanted. Well attended, but, no, 60 trucks aren't going to make those.
Many folks simply want a regular place to go, where many of there friends will be. All the HF adventures and similar are what SEVERAL people like to do as well. Sitting by a lake, in the sun, something to eat? I'm in.
It is HARD to put that together with a large and growing membership. So, these great ideas that are popping up, put some meat to them, offer them up on either the C&C or ANY date, and go to what you want. We have lots of members that don't and can't get to C&C as well.
Not trying to dissuade anyone from offering up a good idea, but put some effort into it, don't feel like it has to be "next meet", and maybe they will turn into something!
