I've had two S-10s and a Bronco II before my taco.

 

Sweet. I think I need to diversify a bit for my next vehicle

 

Try old full-size chevy's and Ford's

 

Think i'd shoot for something with a little getup. Maybe one of those 2j Lexus

 

You want down low not that lol. Although it would be cool. I'd go with a dinosaur-era push-rod V-8 with cheap parts availability or a common diesel.

 

Old V8 would be cool too. Idk what platform tho. Plus not like I can afford anything now anyway lol

 

F150/Bronco or Chevy K/10 truck/Blazer

A surplus army K/10 Diesel would be cool

 

Any old Chevy with a smallblock v8 can be easily adapted to an LS motor. 3/4 and 1 ton 4x4 have the bigger axles everyone wants and they can be had cheap. I was looking at doing the swap with my 84 c10 before I got the Tacoma. 6.0l with a 4l80, all accessories, wiring and computer for $2000, motor mounts and the transmission crossmember for another $200. A few weeks of work and 400 hp at 18 mpg.

 

That's the best/easiest way to do it, I think.

 

The military trucks had a kingpin Dana 60 and a corporate 14 bolt rear with 4.88’s and a rear locker. Np205 transfer case to boot. One of the best things to wheel with once you ditch the 95 hp diesel.

Also the entire old-school full-size Chevy aftermarket is available for them

 

As badass as that sounds, think I need to own a car some time in my life already have a 4wd basket case
