Cool. Main question is, “What is the best, safest, cleanest way to connect all the wiring for my add on lights?”

I currently have a front light bar but I am adding a few more things this week. I’ll be adding ditch lights, under hood lights, bed lights and I’d like to figure out how to wire in the led lights in my RTT with some sort of quick disconnect.

I’ve seen people use things like this... is this what I need?

If you are running more than one system it always advised to run a power distribution block for cleanliness, service, and maintenance. You don’t have to, just be sure to fuse everything.

Definitely. Unless you want the ultimate...

    The SPOD.

Be sure to use high grade wire meant for automotive use and power usage.

Usually O gauge from batt to input line then split down for each section based on amps/watts/ohms required.

Even the wiring from the lights should be checked to ensure the load ability is there, if not you can end up with melted wires and shorted systems. DO NOT use the twist and tape method or the house wire nut route. Heat shrink and solder.

So that would be an affirmative then?

Can you share pics of it installed? I’d love to see where and how you mounted it.

Solid advice man. I will keep all that in mind as I work through this. I am a total novice at wiring so I’ve purchased wire kits with everything I have bought. I feel like that is the safest route as they should know what is required for their lighting systems.

The one thing I’m still looking for is a way to install a plug in the bed for my RTT led lights. I’ll have to look but I believe there are a few different connector types included with the setup. Anyone know of a good write up for this?

I have to worry about space on that side because of my clutch master cylinder. I mounted mine to the top of my factory fuse block so everything is in one space.

I’m not a electrical guy so I used something dummy proof called a Spod once you set up the switches and control box it’s literally plug your accessories into the + and - then the magic happens.
I got mine used they are about 400 new fwiw.

Here’s a few pics of my spod setup it’s the basic one you can get fancy with touchscreen and even Bluetooth I believe.

Ty Josh. That’s approximately where I’m looking to install. I don’t have clutch stuff to worry about so I have a bit more room.

Very nice Matt. That’s a nice chunk on change there considering the blue sea setup is like $40. I may just go the blue sea route and get a little help from someone who knows what their doing. I’m too cheap:anonymous:

I don’t blame you I got a killer deal on it is why I went with it. Plus some passengers like to mash the switches it gets annoying at times.
