Happy snow morning to all. Told all my staff to work remote and not go out unless we absolutely have to. That's the plan until at least Wednesday.

 

Good deal, that's super smart. I'm not leaving the house for a while. Hope yall fair well.

 

It's cold as hell, and we've had snow off and on all day. Looks to be about 4-5" so far, and they are predicting we will get more tonight. I think one of the heat pumps (it's exposed to the north and west) is icing over, but I'm not too concerned right now. No power outages, haven't had to go in to handle anything with work, we're manageable at this point.

Finally broke record temps here last night. Kinda thought it was somewhat life threatenin’ out there. Big thaw starts Wednesday.

 

They haven’t talked Snow yet but you can bet once it warms up some, it’s never far off.

 

Yeah, this area isn't really used to/prepared for it. For the first time ever the NWS is issuing a wind chill warning because of how cold it is expected to get. Friend of mine with a new house had his main freeze, and the builder had to come over and put a heating element in. Power draws are going through the roof and we set a new power demand record this evening.
We do a lot better in 100* + than this stuff.

 

And the governor just declared a state of emergency.
Very glad to be working remote for the interim.

 

4” of snow on the ground, power out at 2am. Went out and turned on the Welding machine, flipped the switch and power is back on . Stay warm folks.

woke up to a surprise this morning!

this is the most snow i've seen in my time here - normally we do not get near as much here on the SW side as areas north and west of houston due to proximity to the gulf

 

Zero degrees here in San Angelo. Had to use a 3D printed “key” to lock my hubs.
