Hello everyone! Just recently purchased this 1995 5VZ-FE, and I decided to tackle a timing belt and water pump replacement. Along with a new T-Stat, both idlers, and a tensioner.

I have a few questions on reusable parts, however. The manual says the Crankshaft pulley bolt is TTY (Torque to Yield), so according to Toyota, a new bolt must be used, however I cannot find this bolt anywhere online, unless I buy a new Harmonic Balancer/Crankshaft Pulley. I haven't called Toyota yet, I will do that tomorrow.

I also want to replace the 2 Camshaft and 1 Crankshaft seals. Are the Camshaft sprocket bolts also TTY, or can I reuse these?

Are there any other recommended parts to be changed during this job?

    Thanks everyone

I don't ever recall the crankshaft pulley bolt being TTY, though I could be wrong. I must say though, after replacing hundreds of tbelts and water pumps on these motors, I've never had any issues or come backs with reusing the original crank and cam bolts. Both Toyota dealerships I've worked at in the past never preached replacing these bolts, so I figured they're reusable (again, I could be wrong).

Besides your listed items (tbelt, wpump, tstat), the only other items I change during this job is the drive belts. Also, be sure to have a little grinder wheel w/sandpaper wheel/insert or a razor blade handy when replacing the water pump. The factory pump gasket tends to leave some residue on the block, which is where those tools come in handy to remove the residue.
