First definately don't by from the dealer. Second are you going to use them to get in or just for cosmetic appeal. Steps have a flatter and more functional contour. I have tube style on mine and my little girl is always slipping on them. You mentioned not wanting to drill. I think the best ones do require minor drilling. Mine are frame mounted, not body. I had to replace one side when some old lady swiped me in a parking lot. The strength of thoses kept me from getting a scratch on the paint or any body damage. Body mounted hardware will fold in on impact. So it just depends on what you want.

FWIW, I think the tube style steps make the truck look lower, and take away from the "truck" appeal for me. N-Fabs look tough, and seem to be more practical as steps. Just my opinion. Will be picking up 3" NFabs in the next few months hopefully.

does anyone have the Rampage 5in on theirs? I like the look of them but saw some Iron Cross ones that were nice too. They both look identical...Not sure 5in will look good on a Tacoma?

Don't the N-Fab steps mount to the body, rather than the frame?

I have some 5" on mine and I like the way they look. they aren't the rampage, but pretty much the same other than the name.

I just ordered me up some Westin 3" E Series tube steps. Powder black. They are frame mounted and no drilling req'd. I'll throw up some pics of the install process and the finished product once I get them delivered.
