Thanks. What I plan on doing for the step will also give that area more reinforcement too since tubes with tabs will be under the plate .

Awesome that you got the specs down. Get a simple design like Revenge Fab's and I'll make the 30 minute drive with cash in hand.

Forgive my ignorance here...but are the bolt-ons available for double cabs at this time?

    Shipping would be to 55901.
    Thanks!

Not yet but coming very soon I promise. Fresh new ideas have just started, but I don't want people to have to wait too long. Thanks.

I'm up for a set. I can't find anything for a double cab long bed let alone find anyone willing to ship to Canada. You should really consider shipping to Newfoundland, Canada :) You can make a killing at this business

Regarding 05+ Double Cab Sliders requests:

I would like to request from Brian that he present to the Double Cab Regular Bed (5') owners and Double Cab Long Bed (6') owners his basic design for bolt on sliders.

Please see my post #20. I am interested in a bolt on wheel to wheel design (with steps) for DCLB. I would expect this would be a revision on a basic Double Cab design.

Just a suggestion for Brian's (apparently long and getting longer) to do list.....
Thanks and keep up the good work!

Toyota makes 3 frames for 2nd Gen tacomas. RCLB, (ACLB and DCSB), and DCLB. ACLB and DCSB take the same sliders and have the same bolt patterns...
ACLB and DCSB same wheelbase, same frame, same sliders...

Ok guys...I'm copying and pasting a e-mail I just sent a guy right now. He contacted me there. I don't know if he's on this forum or not. I hope this helps explain what I'm shooting for here.....I don't want people waiting forever, and yes, I do many different fab projects from day to day, but I seriously want to have the 3 different frame versions jigged and available asap. Obviously access cab is coming first, then it's onto someone local with a different model. This e-mail is long so you may want to grab a beer if you're going to read it.

    my e-mail to him

( caution..a long novel & not black berry friendly)

Here's how I'd like my final product to be ideally....I noticed a guy who's slider flexed due to the fact it was the common 1-3/4" .120 wall mild steel that most people want due to the lower cost. Ideally I want to offer my sliders (weld on & bolt on) with the 4 legs already attached and at the correct angle so they can simply be positioned and welded to the frame plates that are welded on first. (bolt on's will be ready to bolt on with minor frame drilling on the bottom rail) That's where the jig I'm going to make so I can mass produce & ship correct angle sliders comes into the picture. By having them that way will allow me to reinforce the ends beyond the last leg with another tube that runs from the very end to the last leg down by the frame. Does that make sense? It seems the weld on kits currently available come with the legs attached already. (weld on & bolt on)

Until this jig happens within the next couple weeks, I'm forced to sell the weld on's with all the legs loose but notched on one end. (like in the picture) The installer will have to weld the plates to the frame, then mock the slider up with 2 jackstands and a milk crate in the center with shims until they're how he wants them, and chop the frame end of the legs to the right angle and length. I just feel I need to let you know where I currently stand on these right now. But a set like that could be built and ready to ship by the end of next week. The weld on style in the picture is $235 + shipping. I have a idea regarding the kickout having a bolt in aluminum plate with or w/o dimple die holes , and I explain it in the thread I have on Tacoma World forum, are you on there? or have you seen the thread at all? I want to offer a product that has a few details incorporated into it that the others don't or won't have for my price and a few areas beefed up from things I've seen happen to others....but I also don't want people waiting forever for things to happen. That's why within a couple weeks at the most I'd like to have at least the 05+ access cab version jigged and ready to go. I won't get in over my head by offering any group buys at this point either. Just fair prices and a speedy turn around.

Sounds fair Brian. Do you have any connections with powdercoating?

I'm game as soon as you can make my 09 Access a set!

I'm actually not to concerned with having bolt-on or not... the reason being is that I don't want too heavy of a rake on the sliders themselves. I want to use the slider as dual purpose step and body protection. I would like the rake to be almost flat or close to 90 degrees from the pavement. So as you stand now, are they available as simply weld-on without the rake pre-welded? It would be for an access cab, so as long as the overall measurement is suited for it I would buy right now!

What has determined the angle on the last 2 sets I did was setting them up with 1" between the open door and the outer tube. It's my 1" rule, between the rocker pinch weld and the open door. I made these stick out far enough to protect the body so if they were mounted flat, they may need to have a smaller gap between the inner and outer tube. I'm doing 8" on the 05+ And 9.5" for the step(or 1 full tube width) I'll do them however someone wants, but stepping on a tube is the same whether it's angled or flat.

I just PMed them to you and I'm sorry I didn't do it earlier, I forgot. I'm not out to try and hide anything and will bump this thread when more progress is made regarding bolt on's.

Steven is coming down this week and we'll make great progress. Thanks to all who've been interested and I really appreciate your patience, I want to get things moving quicker regarding the jig and the availability of shipping sliders ready to bolt on. I don't expect you guys to wait forever. I have a few custom touches up my sleeve with issues I've seen other sliders have.

I pretty much agree with everything from post 108 onwards (I skipped some pages).

If you could keep that $199 price on a solid bolt-on pair for the 05+ DC short beds, I'd be down in a heartbeat (shipping to 23435). Powdercoating would be an option I'd certainly like to discuss if/when that becomes possible.

They look great. Keep us posted! I'd love to throw some money at you :D
