Has anyone done a tubular spare tire x brace?

I'm thinking of boxing the brace with some laser cut peices, swapping the hangers, and adding in an xrunner style brace from the hangers to tow hitch member.

Would this help stiffen up the frame or add in a lot of stress concentrations?

    What do you all think?

this will quickly become a game of "the weakest link"

for every part of the frame that you stiffen, another part is now weaker, because it's more prone to stress than it was before-- it's now carrying the stress it was previously subjected to, as well as the additional stresses transmitted by the reinforced section.

    proceed thoughtfully.

What do you need to stiffen up the frame for?

I was just thinking it would help ride quality, similar to adding a crossmember for the hangers.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Boxing the frame is a go when doing links or SM relocation and replacing hanger and all that bs and you will need to reinforce the central C frame. As other mentioned becomes a thing of chasing the weakest link. Still badass!
