Yea, it's the amount of light that can pass through. I think was mistaken by the 15 or 20%. The front side windows I believe need to let 30 or 35% light through, the rear side windows and back window you can go as dark as you want. Just remember that at night, the darker you go, the harder it is to see. Luckily around here, at night you can almost always cruise with the windows down.

 

I had a tropper stop me because of limo tint on all the windows on an out of town car. He don't care that I was driving it to new Mexico he still gave me the fix it situation.

 

Yea, it seems they will stop out state plates more often for that sorta thing. The only place I've ever been hassled for my tint was in Utah coming out of moab.

 

Hey Alex who was it that needed to measure some bump stops? I am going to be on the north side of town today and was wondering if he got the measurements or still needed someone to get em .

But that's where I was born.... moab specifically lol. But yea, they have much stricter laws regarding tint there.

Limo tint is crazy!! That's what I had on my 3rd gen 4runner and almost backed off a cliff lol. Never again will I go that dark!

 

Don't blame your clouds on the tint....

The border patrol station leaving SV will stop you too at the checkpoint for too dark of tint. There usually a state trooper posted up with them and the agents will tip you off.
