Finally finished my front end overhaul last night with @Brindybot s help. Tore it down last weekend, waited on parts throughout the week, got the ecgs bushing tool from @DukesTaco who got it from @Istan I believe, and started the rebuild process Friday night. Getting her aligned this afternoon. New ecgs bushing, both CV shafts, both inner tie rods, inner and outer CV seals on both sides, new wheel bearing/hub assemblies on both sides, new ball joints in both spc ucas, crown stainless braided brake lines on both sides, brake pads on both sides, pulled both ucas off for cleaning and a re grease, brake fluid flush, front diff drain and refill. Oil and filter change, all fluids topped off, axle hub grease/dust caps and there's probably more i'm forgetting. Wanna say thanks to Jonny and Duke for helping me get this done! 20180917_123309.jpg 20180917_002311.jpg

Lol, always, but so much more to do before I can say she's done. Rear end overhaul will be next. Including a shock relocate with 12" or 14" shocks and bamf shackles and shackle hangers. Still need to mount my awning, c02 tank, high lift, roto pax, finish my satoshi and mount lights.

Nope, they'll be mounted to the frame as they are now, just moved forward and upwards to allow for a longer shock. As with any tacoma that goes with a rear lift over about 2 inches, you'll never fit a shock in the stock location that won't limit your rear drop. Only remedy is to change the mounting location and use a longer shock. You can fit a longer shock in the stock location but you'll bottom the shock out before you hit bump, hence, decreasing your up travel and possibly blowing a shock.

Totally forgot your shocks are outboard of your frame, that makes way more sense to mount them like that

Yessir, although I've thought considerably about mounting them inboard and /\ angled, there just isn't enough room. If I had the skills and money I'd cantilever it with a spring under kit. But she's not a dedicated trail rig yet and ain't nobody got time for all that..... or money:annoyed:

Anyone got a good place for lift install? Just got back from deployment and wanted to give the truck some love, lifted last 2 with a buddy, not comfortable or have the tools to do so myself this time and was looking at having a shop install.
