True, but I hesitated going back and forth just upgrading wheels and tires. Desperately want some kings. Add em to cart, take em out. Tell myself stock everything is all I need, until I see 30 other stock tacos on the drive home just like mine.

Lots of plans, little money....
That's why you gotta wheel it stock. Get a feel for it, for your driving style etc. Figure out what is important for "your "driving style. Then you do your mods and appreciate them more. Tired of seeing these guys get a new truck and blow a bunch of money on mods to never really appreciate them because they never wheeled their truck stock.

I’m sorry to flake out guys, but kinda hard to go out in the Tacoma since it got stolen last weekend. Parked it Sunday afternoon in my front yard and it was gone Monday when I got home from work.

Precisely, $3k is alot of money to spend on a street queen, not to mention lame. I justified the Ray10s because thats a style / unique thing to make my truck different than everyone else's and the tires because I need something for the IL winters. I haven't pulled trigger on suspension till I know I'll be wheeling it and if I'll even need it.

Ready for Chiva! Got it . Like @05tacomabro said. He has wheeled it I have mountain biked it and wheeled it . A good spotter/tire shiner can make a new driver look like a veteran. The easy stuff you can handle when it gets a little iffy we get out spot it and go .

LOL, Why what do you mean???

    We will take it easy...

We broke @Negra_Motaco in with his 3rd gen in just a few trail runs... Other than a little AZ pinstripes and a rock massage on the exhaust piping he came out like a champ 3 wheeling that bitch. :itllbuffout:

Look at his ass now!! tearing up the trails like a boss and built his truck out to handle the type of trails he likes. He was all stock a few months ago. Now you cant keep up with him! At least when he has a truck...

It would probably be her mother. Whatever she doesn't take with her is going to be sold, trashed, or donated.

Pretty ballsy to steal that truck, especially right out of your front yard, hopefully it is found soon. I'll keep an eye out for it

Thanks for all the encouraging words guys and the promise to take it easy lol. I know that that usually goes. I was a collegiate DH mountain bike racer and more people got hurt on "take it easy" days than actual races. A good spotter is nice though. I have a buddy I occasionally wheel with but he has a "smash up your rig or you're not really wheeling" type attitude. He typically blasts ahead in his Jeep and leaves me hanging back. Not to helpful for getting trail experience. I've stopped going out when he invites me.

I have 33s and a 2" lift with 5100's for clearance for when it floods by our house. But since my Taco is mostly a freeway daily driver I only have P rated thin sidewall tires. I'm scared on ripping one up on a sharp rock. I've actually done Chiva a couple of times the Italian Trap way but I always turn around before the last stretch where it gets really rocky. It's one thing when I damage my mountain bike but a 4x4 is defiantly pushing the limits of my hobby budget.

My wife has also been painfully clear with me that having a 4x4 is a privilege and if I take any serious damage I'm going to get downgraded to a 2WD 4 banger for the next decade.

Bahaha. What P rated 33''s do you have, Falken Wildpeaks? I still haven't mounted anything, running stock still and on the fence. I had E rated before and SO MUCH OVER KILL for a daily driver especially on Tucson roads, rough as heck.
