Sure thing. I usually bum around Huachuca Canyon when I’m solo. That first game trail on the right that loops back around near the cemetery is my go to around here. Also like following the Canyon through the stream and up the hill.

Damn I didn’t even consider looking in this Tucson thread. I have been a member here forever but try to stay away as much as possible because I end up wanting to buy very damn thing available.

We should set something up to meet and greet/wheel.

So this morning driving along River Rd between La Cholla and Oracle Rd in Tuc, I saw two project Lexus SUVs. One White and one Black. Both looked to have lifts, OR wheels/tires. The White one had some sort of custom front bumper and a few other mods but passed it going the opposite direction so I didn’t get a good look. Both trucks looked great. Not sure what model Lexus they are but both the same.

In need of someone in Tucson or Charloux gap area with a winch. I came out to the gap last night to help someone with a recovery and this happened. Appreciate any help and more than willing to compensate. 20190417_040442.jpg

I was basically on a suicide mission. My first time here and had no idea I was coming down to on this gnarly feature. My auxiliary lights are out which would have helped.

Saw your ig post, I know right where you are as well. That's definitely not anywhere someone should be going alone, at night and for their first time. Wish I could help buddy.

Big shout to @chucklefunkk and another buddy who showed up with a jeep equipped with a winch. Both selflessly drove multiple hours to aid in a recovery attempt . Another big thanks to the U.S AIRFORCE. I happened to roll my rig at the gap on a training exercise day! After a collaborated recovery effort, the taco was successfully rescued with NO Body damage! I could not have anticipated a better outcome!!

Big Thanks to everyone who offered to assist directly or Indirectly ! This incident was a true reality check. I was out there trying to recover someone else, and failed to consider the challenges that I was about to face. I went on this mission (with absolutely no experience at Sharleau) completely unprepared. @chucklefunkk asked me if I needed for him to come along but I didn't want him to have to call off work which he ended up having to do anyway. The truth is that I never seen the ditch (the gap) I drove into at 3AM. I never hit the brakes to slow down. My auxiliary lights were not working because my spod shit the bed.

As I mentioned before, it was a dumb move to even attempt it, but at the end of the day (well the next day) the community came together to save my ass and I am extremely grateful. Thank you!!

New to tworld and just found the Tucson thread also. Awesome to see this story unfold and glad this turned out the way it did.
Can't believe zero body damage, that is great news!
