@05tacomabro I'm doing some research on Icon vs Fox suspension. Read that Icons are progressive shocks and are pretty stiff while driving at lower speeds and the ride smoothens out when speeding up. What's your experience with your setup?

I definitely like my icons, the faster I go the smoother they are. However, my Fox's, even my little 2.0's that are in the rear, feel really nice when I'm going slow and crawling on rocks. I think if I were to do it over, I'd probably go all Fox or talk to ADS. If I was going fast all the time I might stay with Icon. If your really looking for a quality ride that meets your driving style and truck set up then call a few places or just go down and talk to ADS, any quality shock can be valved differently to soot your needs. Your best bet is to work with a manufacturer that will set it up (valve it correctly) for you from the factory. Mine are just factory valved, nothing special so I can't really comment too much. I'm happy with my set up and it does everything I need it to. Icon et in the front with spc ucas, coupled with the Foxs in the rear and the expo leafs. Front goes fast, rear holds lots of weight and it all flexes nicely.

at around what speed do the Icon's start to smoothen out? I do a lot of driving on I-19 and it's definitely not the smoothest highway so I'm leaning more towards the Icons rather than Fox, I just gotta see how they are on the rocky water board trails at slower speeds. I'm sure either way, they'll definitely be an upgrade from stock suspension with a leveling kit.

To me it's more of a "how hard you hit it" than a speed thing. The faster and harder the icon compresses the smoother it feels. If it's going slow over rocks the shock feels more stiff. Hard to explain and I really don't have a great comparison, I went straight to icons from a spacer lift. I'll take you for a ride anytime.

I think I see what you're talking about. I guess when you "punch it" pedal to the metal kind of thing, it gets smoother? You going to box canyon this weekend? I'll definitely take you up on your offer.. hopefully @Cal671 lets me sample the fresh Bilstein build as well :D

Yea pretty much, my off road time is my therapy, the harder I push it the more therapeutic... until I break shit, but she always gets me home.
