There is several reasons to avoid this kind of lifts.

The lift Nazi's will come out in force over this. lol.
I have a tuff country 3" leveling lift with the front puck and rear add-a-leaf and it's been great. Zero problems and I've done some pretty rough off roading.

Most people bitching about these kind of lifts are just regurgitating things they've heard from others without any real world experience.

If you're not jumping your truck or competing off road, a small "puck" style lift is a very cost effective alternative to other setups that can cost a couple thousand dollars to buy and install. Some people spend a ton of money and just drive down the pavement and gravel roads bragging about how good their lift is... doesn't sound too smart to me.

Local shops have been installing this kind of lift in Tacoma's since 2005 and they've been bulletproof.
You made a wise financial decision but you probably won't impress the online "experts".

I'm curious about the lift myself, any updates? Pics would be nice, also is anyone running 33x12.50s without trimming?

Ignore the haters. You should also add the rough country six inch body lift for a total of 10 inch.

I bought this lift because 4 wheel parts highly recommend it, and It was a good deal. Well I was happy the way it looked and I was able to run 295/75/17 tires with fuel rims with removal of mud flaps. No rubbing at all. I had alignment done and it drove straight, however it was so rough! It drove horrible and I would not recommend on purchasing this kit. After 2 weeks I bought Icon lift kit and absolutely love the way it drives now. Bottom line looks good drives like shit.

A coworker of mine has this kit with 18x9 -12 fuel wheels and 33/12.50/18 he agrees and says his truck drives like a tank.

I don't know how the OP uses his truck so a spacer is fine if he is just on pavement and just wants a look then hey that's cool.

Off-roading with a spacer hmmm well I won't say anything on that matter.

To say a spacer is bulletproof is pretty big statement to say...even the top 3 coilovers aren't bulletproof. Shit breaks and things can go wrong.

Even driving in town with spacers sucks. I had it on my TRD OR and driving on smooth payment feels like shit.

Thanks Mbliber, modifiedtaco and oscolivar1 for the realistic replies and not some bs "I know everything and your dumb for not doing what I think" response. Just curious that's all. I'm not looking for a top of the line wheeling everyday kit or sema quality, just looking to add a little stance and do a RARE trail ride here and there. I'm mainly in slick muddy jobsites that aren't taken care of.

If your looking for a cheap way to go while still maintaining good ride quality Id look into bilstein 5100 front and rear an AAL add your choice of UCA.. if you've got a little extra and what a step up from there you can get a bilstein 6112 fronts and 5160 rears.. I believe OME also has a kit that's may suit your needs.. only thing to keep in mind is that most inexpensive quality lifts are not going to lift your truck 4 inches
