    For me, GREAT NEWS

Today I received a new Alpha ll RTT from TuffStuff, so they they came through big time. I didn’t get pictures for you guys to see, but I can see the difference in where the top hinges are compared to my old one. The top after inspection is back in the shipping box, until I get some weather to install it.
I have to say that in my eyes TuffStuff is a first rate company and looking forward to my trips with my Alpha ll RTT

This is the same setup I am looking at. Is that the 10 inch max modular rack with the tonneau adapters? What tonneau cover do use? Still happy with the tent?

Hi! Could anyone please tell me what these parts are for? We just got our new Alpha 2 and have these 2 half rods that we can’t figure out where they go to? Any ideas are appreciated!

They go on the gas struts inside the tent, when you have the tent open, in case there are high winds.

Ohhh Thank you very much, it now makes sense! Do you know of the bag is just a repair kit storage bag or has a special purpose too?
Truly appreciate you taking the time to respond!

I assume it is just a storage bag.

They send I think it was 3 bags. One if a shoe bag the other is a storage bag that hang from the tent and there should be a smaller bag that has the repair kit and strut brace. You can use it for whatever though.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Yes I have the 10 inch max modular bed rack with tonneau adapters, and a Tyger soft tri-fold tonneau cover. I have a short bed taco but running the bed rack made for a long bed. I think it looks better with the rack closer to the tailgate. Still loving the tent, but it’s getting to be a challenge finding time to get out with the kids busy weekend schedule.

Here’s a picture of the Alpha mounted on a short bed Taco with the thinner part in the back. I think it looks better with my setup.

I have used the new tent for a little over a week and I still find it hard to close.
I am trying to meet with someone at TuffStuff, drive to CA or at a show to see if I am doing something wrong, but they dont seem to want to meet with me.

I am selling the first RTT I had from them, thinking $1500 OBO

Yeah, mine is a tight fit to close. What all are you leaving inside when you close it up?

I removed the original mattress and amusing an Exped MegaMat Duo with a twin sized sheet on it and that is it.

I just ordered mine. I thunk I'm going to run it backwards..... with tall part next to the cab. I'm running billie bars so my rack is low and the tent will be pretty flush with the roof that way.

I know it's an old thread but do you possibly have a picture with the tent installed on your billiebars? Thanks

Reviving an old thread, but interested in the Alpha 2 RTT and was curious if anyone leaves theirs on all the time, and if so how it stands up condition wise?

Their website makes it sound like it needs to be hand washed and waxed routinely and not left on too long. So curious on real world usage.
