    Hi everyone!

I'm in the market for a RTT and I have been hearing great things about a company called Tuff Stuff Overland in California. Has anyone heard of them?

I had the ranger for a little bit. It was ok, nothing to write home about. The mattress sucked. I ended up selling it after 3 nights in it and going back to a ground tent. That said, I think I would have done that with any RTT.

Overall the tent was fine, I'd say it's what you'd expect for the price. The build quality seemed fine.

I've been using the Tuff Stuff Delta RTT for a few years now, I really like it. Build quality is good, but every RTT gets made in one or two factories overseas and slapped with a different brand's label so I don't think there's much difference between any of them but the price. The really expensive ones probably use more durable fabric, I don't know.

The only thing to wear on mine has been the velcro on the straps that go over the RTT case, but they aren't a necessity. Just need to replace the velcro some day.

I live about an hour from Santa Ana where their HQ is, they offer an in-person cash discount if you buy it there w/cash. At least they did back then. I paid $800 for the Delta about 2.5 years ago, I think it was $1,000 online back then. Looks like it's gone up a bit.

Great review! Thank you so much for your time and your help!

I completely agree with you on who is making about 96% of the tents on the market these days.

I have heard amazing things about this company, and I really like what I'm seeing as far as quality and price.

Thank you so much for your opinion. I have heard that too!

I was off-roading in Ocotillo Wells last month with a big group of people. We stopped on the side of the trail for lunch. We saw a truck coming down the trail with a RTT on it. The guy pulled over to admire our rigs. He ended up being the sales manager at TSO. Really, really nice guy. Talked to us a bit regarding the tent that he had on his truck, and answered a bunch of our questions. He told us to call him at their HQ if we ever had any more questions. I liked seeing that the manager of a company was so involved in a sport that he sold daily.
