    Hey i know its a lil old but i recently put a tuff stuff on my truck, that thing is a beast. Ive only had to use it once and it did great. My friend has had his for awhile and he uses it all the time. I think its a great buy, you get alot for what you pay.

    sorry took so long i love my xrc8 but do get a snatch block i recently was bogged down in mud midway down my doors and i had to use the snatch block to double the power of it

    i use the wich on a cradle....in a trailer hitch
    so far my 3 uses of this winch all needed to be pulled back where as a front mounted wich would not have been good.....
    i use this more for recovery then to pull myself up a trail
    i know i can always go back the way i came lol

    Thanks man this is a great post & such a good idea even my wife likes this option over a big heavy front install.

    Did the battery cables come with the winch? Where can yu get them & are they hard wired into the battery or just clamped on??

    i used a set of welding cables.....any welding shop will have them
    they are quick connect type
