Early trucks had 4WD on them. My 85, 92, and 99 did. Kinda bummed my 3rd Gen came with blank ones, maybe I’ll upgrade when they get ripped off.

My ‘99….not sure when they went to 4X4 on the mud flaps from the factory, 2nd Gen, maybe?

I figured out my problem. My driver rear flap was previously knocked off and the dealer reinstalled using different length hardware. No wonder it was knocked off twice.

I wonder if these will fit the 2nd gen. I took my oem mud flaps off since I broke two of them on the trails. Almost bought the rokblox or whatever but didnt commit because none of them had 4WD on them.

Bumping this thread. Does anyone have pictures with the 4WD logo in Lunar Rock, or the tri-color stripes up the side?

I dig 'em! The instructions were a little off, but nothing major. I should've read this thread a bit closer before installing because a completely wrecked one of the plastic wheel well pins that the provided screws go into. Tried removing it without realizing it needed to stay.

It looks like the front flaps are shorter than the rears which my OCD couldn't handle! Can anyone measure the fronts and rears from the bottom of the fender flare to the bottom of the flaps? I see they can make custom length ones but I wouldn't know what lengths to request without measurements. Thanks!

    Update:
One of my rear Tufskinz flaps cracked along the mounting hole. No big deal, these things happen so I emailed them to ask about a custom size order. They got back to me right away saying they don’t really do custom size orders anymore but they were curious about my cracked rear flap.
I told them it just cracked for some reason other than by off-roading and I sent them a pic.
By the next day they asked me to confirm my address because they were sending me out a replacement set for the rear at no charge!
    That’s pretty great customer service.

Just got these, and was hoping the fronts wouldn't rub, but they do. I have arouns 2.5" lift with 285-70-17 on a -10 offset wheel. I had emailed them asking if they will rub up front and they said no and referred to a pic on the product page of a truck with 33's. If they were molded to the contour of the wheel well theyd by fine, but the flat design with the spacer means you lose about an inch of clearance in the wheel well

Oh man, that’s a bummer! I was really close to rubbing on my new 265 75 16 KO2’s on the front most inner screw with it being flat. What I did is took the old screws and spacers from the pair of rear flaps Tufskinz replaced and used those for the front inside mounting hole. That bent the inner corner in and gave me back about half an inch and now I’ve got plenty of clearance.
Not sure if that will work in your case with the 33” but may be worth a shot.
I’ve seen people do this with RekGen flaps also.

Ok, good to know. I was thinking of maybe taking a heatgun to the flap and trying to mold it to fit the wheel well better, but not sure how good that will work

Replaced old Amazon/ebay/stock flaps with Tufskinz today. Some before/after pics below for reference.

Anyone try these on an SR yet?

SRs don’t have flares so I’m wondering if mounting is different or even possible. I’m sure I can make a set “fit” but options for SR specific flaps are limited and not so great. I like the idea of these much better.

TLDR: Wanted to buy something new for truck and also see if they helped with front wheels rubbing.

Long Story: Two reasons: Paid the truck off last month :D so I wanted to buy something new for the truck. I recently replaced my 265/70/17 Falken Wildpeaks that were on my Tacoma Sport stock wheels with 265/70/17 BFG Trail Terrains mounted on 4runner TRD OR wheels. Ever since the new tires were put on, the front wheels have been rubbing the stock mud flaps when turning in reverse, or braking while turning (while moving forward, turning, braking, and compressing the front struts). So I also wanted to give these a try to see if they helped with rubbing. Truck has been parked since I installed them this weekend, so I'll find out this week if the flaps helped with that or not.

I’m gonna try a set of kick backs, I’m pretty sure they will b the only mudflap that will fit without rubbing, I’m running 285/70/17 on my Tacoma. Those were the only style mudflaps I could run on all my half tons to mitagate the rubbing issue but still have a flap, I do have PPF on my rockers and lower doors but don’t wanna ruin that n have to replace it either.
