Hey Toyota fans. I have a 2019 tundra with 56,000 miles. I have noticed over the past couple of months when I start up the truck sometimes the engine seems to struggle to start up. I will then wait for 30 seconds or so and turn the key and the engine starts just fine. What could this possibly be. Thanks

Are you part of the fuel pump recall?

How about your battery? My 2020 was a 2019 build and my battery took a shit at like 30k miles. Dealer covered it.

They're known to have issues and a short lifespan.

Yeah, I feel anytime I have a trouble start I always go to the battery first and usually is the problem. Not saying it isn’t something else but always been my issue

Right. Seems to be the commonality over on tundras.com being the battery.

Same thing on my wife's accord. She started having weird electrical issues too. Immediately went to the battery and that was the culprit.

Ok I will start with the battery and if that does not work I will look at the fuel pump. There is a 2019 recall on tundra fuel pump

Just got a tundra. Is there a good place to check your vin for recalls? Thanks!

    Reserected from the dead.
    Not really.

The best way to find recalls is to become a member of the "toyotaowners.com" site.

Enter in the vin and all recalls and dealer maintenance will be listed.

This will be specific to your truck so you don't get worried about other recalls you hear about that may not even affect you.
