I still need to weld in the plate on the top for the tabs.

I appreciate the input. Definitely noted. I'll give that a shot on the other arm.

So I talked with RCV about making me a custom set of axles. Apparently their outers for the tundra and tacoma are interchanged. Based on the measurements I provided, using their tundra shaft should work out perfect, so no custom length will be needed.

Don't know your plan on how much you want to shorten, but I considered having Dutchman likely shorten and respline the oem extension shaft if I ever follow through with my swap, it would be tight but work with the ~5.5 inches i would want to shorten if using stock tundra CV axles. If you need a different length

You could also go to the land cruiser solid shaft and shorten that - part 41337-60020
    https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/par..._chassis/front_axle_housing_differential.html

It looks like if you lift your motor an inch or so clearance would be a ton better as well. That would be the route I go to avoid a ton of clearancing

Are their 2g tacoma and 2g tundra are both their 35spline bars on the CV? If I were ordering RCVs anyways I would consider getting the longest axles within reason and keep shortening the diff within reason just to keep the best angles possible, and you will be able to get more travel since you aren't limited by the upper

Just starting to read through your thread - absolutely incredible build man. Can't wait to get to the long travel part, haha. Had to comment now though as I'm from KC and went to K-State in Manhattan, KS so I've appreciated some of the Ozarks / Tuttle Creek content!

This all great info, thank you! The tundra diff swap is on hold for now so not sure when I'll get back to it.

I'm not sure about the spline count for OEM axles or if its same as the RCV option. I just know the RCV outers are interchangeable so the spline count is the same for the shaft that RCV makes. With having the pivot kit installed, there's a point where the shaft will contact the support tube. Not sure how far in I could shorten the diff but a very good point.

Whelp, it looks like a raptor shaft will be a better fit. Final order was tundra outer, raptor shaft, and tacoma inner.

Fingers crossed RCVs are here Friday. Also had two of the tires mounted. And yes feel free to give me crap about the faux beadlocks.

Forgot to take a pic of each component, but a combination of heim weld bung, camburg steering extension and DOM tubing, I have the steering extensions complete. 3/4 rod ends, 1.25" dom shown. Camburg steering extension was a perfect fit.

Also, cut off the rear most shock mount tab and welded a new one back an inch so I have adjustability in shock mount location to provide steering tie rod clearance.

I think one of the best features of a bead lock is being able to mount and dismount your own tires fairly easily. I could think of a lot of time and money saved if I didn't have to go somewhere, then I'd just toss in some balance beads and be done without ever having to go to a tire shop except to buy tires, or I'd just stick to decent deals on used.
