True points. You save time and money from labor point of view but not worth the hassle and routine maintenance to me. Ive talked to many people that have ran beadlocks and all of them moved away from them to go to the method beadgrips. Granted, these were all rock crawlers hobbiests. As something I still drive on road, I'll stay away as long as I can haha.

Getting closer. RCVs came in and mounted. Didn't realize how much larger in diameter they were. I was able to make the factory brake line and abs wire support work. I should have measured the track width before I pulled everything apart but right now the rotor is just outside the rocker.

Yeah tire is pretty far forward now I'm going to have to cut in the front. The dumb part is that I'm going to have to limit my travel some more; I'm going to bottom out the coilover now. I really need to either make a new shock tower to bring the coilover up or move the lower shock mount out towards the knuckle. It's a shame because there is so much to gain in up travel but the coilover is the limit.

see if you can buy just a JD fab top hat, it sets the coilover through the stock bucket.

I pocketed my LCA to lower the coilover mount so it wouldn’t bottom out, but I would have done the jd top hat had I known of them.

I was thinking about that. Any chance you know how much it raises the shock up?

I don’t have the parts to measure anymore, but this can give you some guesstimates.

Give JD a call too. They’re prototyping a different tower cap as well last time I remember seeing in the JD thread.

It's been a killer job so far. I have been pondering doing a Tundra front diff and the madness that goes with it. I recently swapped in a Tundra rear axle but went with a Diamond Axle and Custom width and shafts. The front is a mix of TC and JD Fab stuff. Def following to see how everything finishes up.

How has the willwood e brake been working out for you? I am not using the Tundra Rear Brakes as I had the axles fit with Tacoma Ends and have a rear Disc Conversion. Given that my truck is heavy, the e-brake engages, but it is too small for the truck's weight and overall. I was considering adding Willwoods electronic e brake in addition to the stock or replacing it entirely. Possibly having both may add what I need but if its enough overall id ditch the stock one.

I like the simplicity of the wildwood ebrake. I was able to mount it up with minimal issue, but under more extreme inclines or declines, it isn't able to hold the truck unfortunately. Combination of clamping force and area just isn't enough. Definitely better than not having one. Not really on my list right now to find an alternative option.

Officially 5 lug at all 4 corners...tundra rotors, calipers, wheel bearings front and rear, tundra 10.5 rear axle. ABS is functional with tacoma sensors. Only thing missing is the front diff, but that is a project for another time.

I have the same issue with mine with the Wilwood manuals on both rear rotors. I’ve played with the adjustment multiple times. To get the right amount of force there’s just way too much drag in the rotor.

Haha, fitting a 5.7 would be a chore. Plus, I need a manual trans. A 4.6 has been in the back of my head to explore. Or I just go supercharger
