    Hey,
I posted this over on the Tundra forum but I wanted to get your guys opinion.

What is your opinion for the next Tundra engine?
The current 4.6 has 310 hp 15/19 mpg
The current 5.7 has 381 hp 13/18 mpg

    F150 2.7 ecoboost has 325 hp 19/26 mpg
    F150 3.5 ecoboost has 365 hp 17/24 mpg
    F150 5.0 has 385 hp 15/22 mpg

I never really tow but the 3.5 ecoboost can tow more than the 5.7 tundra plus the mpg is alot better.
Does anyone think or know if Toyota is gonna address that?

    Thanks!

Well that 3.5 ecoboost gets 7.3 mpg the second you hook a trailer to it...

source: towed a boat to the lake with my dads cuz i thought it would be better than towing with my 04 tacoma...

I personally own a 2014 F150 with the 3.5ECO. I can get 22 MPG empty when its warm out and with the AC on. I traded my Tacoma that was a 2013 and ridden with problems on it. I drove the 5.7 Tundra and its nice, and powerful, but boost (3.5 Twin turbo) is a wonderful thing! And the bolt on options (F150) to get 450 RWHP and 500 RWTQ is cheep compared to the two trucks.

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. and mine likes the 3.5 ecoboost - its also nice to get a factory locker in a full size truck ( I used it this weekend )
