Rather be found dead in a semi-safe Tacoma than in a really safe Ridgeline.

But the Tacoma allows me to retain my dignity.

Just cause it has a bed doesn't make it a truck. It makes it a car with a large open trunk.

Surprised why? The design is almost 15 years old. Same reason the frontier has a poor rating as well. Back in 2005 they had good ratings. Back in 2015 the Tacoma was the same, design was 10 years old and ratings dropped. The dimension may be the same with the 3rd gen but they use higher strength materials and did things to better the rating and make the truck safer.

I mean the Model T was the safest car around 10/10... Then again only like 10 people had it and the people with horses mocked it.

11/10, no one could afford it, therefore no questions were asked.

I was talking about the tundra. Although it was refreshed a few years ago the platform and design is almost 15 model years old.

What is Volvo thinking build a car that will only go so fast?

Just about always. It’s all about crumple zones. Frames are more ridgid, this allowing more transfer of energy.
