Was through my local Toyota dealer on the weekend. Was looking at a 2018 Tundra TRD Off Road. The tires caught my eye because they are the most aggresive looking Michelin tire I have seen. On Michelins website these tires look quite different. Are these a one off just for the Tundra?20180812_110042.jpg

It’s the AT 2 it’s available in lots of sizes. How ever the bigger tires makes them look more aggressive I think.

OK maybe that's it. Its just the AT2's I have seen don't have the aggressive tread block sidewall like these ones. I need a new set for my truck and liked the look of these.

Originally not Expo AF! Kinda Expo AF now...lame.
I saw these on a Frontier the other day and thought, "That's an agressive Michelin." I bet those tires are really decent all around.

From Tirerack's website. I like the ones on the Tundra better!

It's the same tire, just looks meaner in real life than on the photos.

I guess the sawtooth style sidewall looks different to me on the Tundra ones. Almost like a milder BFG All Terrain T/A!

Looks like they updated the sidewall to look more aggressive. Great tires

I put them on my truck after the factory Dunlops wore out. I went with the stock 245/75/16 because I spent 95% of my time on highway, but have been surprised when I have gone off-road with them. Here are my toughts:

    * They're a hard rubber and wear slowly, so they probably wouldn't be good for rock crawling. I'm not going to do that on my with my DD that I'm still making payments on anyway.
    * They're siped pretty well, so they clear water pretty well. No hydro planing or spinning the tires on wet pavement like the highway tread dunlops that came off.
*Probably not very good in gumbo mud, but they did VERY well in light mud.
*Pretty awesome in the snow. With these things, plus traction control, I've been able to handle Central Ohio's most inclement weather in 2wd.
*More aggressive in person. (edit: I guess the Tundra ones have an ever so slightly different sidewall, but the rest of the tread is the same)
*A little on the heavy side and have more rolling resistance than the Dunlops, so I lost about 1mpg with mixed driving. No perceivable power loss though.
*The little traction control light on my truck flashes a lot less on wet pavement.
    *They'll probably last 60k+ miles if I don't tear out a sidewall.
*Maybe it's my luck, but @Discount Tire Direct had a heck of a time getting them balanced. They're still not perfect, but close enough that I can live with them.

Honestly, I'd feel pretty comfortable with these tires and a set of Maxtrax on just about any 2 track.
