I currently have a Tundra TRD Pro. I like the truck, but because of the work I do, which includes a lot of city driving and tight parking, its just too big so I also have a Rav4. I have always liked the Tacomas and they are not so big that I could get down to one vehicle and use it for work in addition for play and personal use. The question I have is about towing. I don't tow a lot, but when I do it is a 4-place enclosed snowmobile trailer that is 24 feet long and a 23 foot boat. The boat with trailer is about 5500 pounds, but I only tow it about 5 miles to the water and back so I don't really care about having a lot of power. My main concern is being able to see around the snowmobile trailer or boat and does it look too small or silly having such a long trailer attached to the Tacoma? Anyone else pull a similar toy with their Tacoma?

I believe the Tundra is only 5" wider than the Tacoma so you likely wouldn't see a ton of difference

4 door long box tacomas are almost as long as the crew max tundra.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I would worry more about the sled trailer then the boat !

When you load all your support goodies the weight will grow fast

not like your only going a few miles to find snow.

unless you find a first generation your not saving a lot in size

I could not get by with just one vehicle and it is only just me.

is your sled trailer 7 foot wide or 8 foot wide? you won't be seeing around those widths unless you get the strap on trailer mirrors.

It’s hard to answer your question without knowing the width of the trailer and boat. I can see around my boat just fine, but it is only 18’ and unknown width. Also, I think that “seeing around” might be a bit subjective. I certainly can’t see some ass tailgating me. Towing big stuff requires extra skill, patience, and awareness. Here in Minnesota people tend to give lots of room to people towing boats because they seem them a lot (I think)... and we are Minnesota nice.
