I went from a 16 CM Limited Tundra to a 17 Taco TRD Sport.

Things I miss about the Tundra:
    -All the interior space
    -V8 (not the MPG tho)
    -Sitting up higher
    -Full sliding rear window

Things I love about the Taco:
-Easier to park/maneuver and ability to park in parking structures
    -Fuel efficiency
    -Overall look/appearance > Tundra
-Practicality because of its size - I can go on more off road trails with my buddies

All in all, I think full sized trucks are more of a toy/luxury unless you are using it to haul heavy stuff or do construction work. Otherwise, it is just a toy IMHO. Nice to have, but not necessary. I love my Taco since it is so much more practical. I wish I would've went with the Taco in the first place, but I had good times in my Tundra and waiting a year to get the 17 Taco got me the sliding rear window :D

I had a 15 crew tundra and no issues and traded and got 16 tacoma but seat wasn't near what I was used to so sold it in a month outright and got me 16 colorado diesel. Seats sit more normal and it's been good truck and love the able to park in garage at home and fit in city streets without stress with other vehicles next to me like the tundra . After a yr I appreciate so much the size helped in many ways being smaller and the mpg of 28 don't hurt running 700 miles a week. Tacoma was about 20 mpg. I just love the tacoma better still even with seats more than the colorado. My tundra although I do not need the room or power because it is me by myself 400 miles a week commute thenot just wife and I on weekends 300 miles a weekend. Just the seat comfort and all over comfort was so.nice in it. But my mpg was 15 average in the tundra crew 4x4. I loved the back window dropping too!! That was great.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .
...^^^... Pas moi ... switched several times (back & forth) and never go back to a big truck ... :)

PS ... If I wanted a full size truck ... it would probably be another Tundra ... just too big for me now.

Well I test drover the tundra and tacoma yesterday since its.been over a yr since I traded tundra. Now I know why I love the tundra and why I traded it. Great truck great power but size is too big for my needs with just me in it all week commuting 400 miles then just wife and I on weekends running around average 300 miles. Plus when I got home in my colorado I hit garage door opener and drove in as it was snowing . Love parking in garage. Also mpg doesn't work. I can live with 18 to 21 not 15. Plus I like to trail drive and these smaller trucks are much more fun. For me it is between keeping my colorado or going to 17 tacoma. Seats are still.only issue in tacoma that are main negative with position and no adjust but I think over time I can get it.to.work. power train in my diesel is better but not big deal. Everything else goes to.Tacoma. no rattles steering feel.is better. Now I have 25k on my coloradown and really other than rattles.no issues. Sure like the duel climate and push button start in tacoma

I made the switch to save a few bucks now that my 17 yr old is driving. It def wasn't worth it.Also it was easier to teach my daughter to park and navigate a wee bit easier in a Tacoma vs Tundra.

So the general consensus here indicates that Toyota needs to make a smaller more maneuverable tundra lol

I'd just be happy if they reproduced the t100

Have to admit the first gen Tundra was the perfect size and best truck I have owned so far. Still miss this truck.

    04 Tundra Access Cab 4wd 5-speed
I've been lurking on this forum for over a year in anticipation of buying a new Tacoma to replace my 04 Tundra. I would have bought a Tacoma if they offered the access cab, manual, Off Road or SR5, but Toyota doesn't so I'll just keep my Tundra for now. Like the new Tacoma, it's just the right size for me not too big, has manual transmission, lever operated 4wd, it's comfortable and quiet and now with 85K still not a squeak. If something happens to it I would replace it with a Tacoma because the new Tundra is just too large.

Would love this, they also can come with front and rear mechanical lockers.

I agree, I was trying to find a clean four door tundra with fairly low miles. I swear it was like finding Bigfoot. They don't exist, and if I found one it was ridiculously expensive and/or beat to shit. Just a touch bigger, V8. The perfect truck.

Great looking, the new tundra is just gaudy, way too big. I'd drive that one till the wheels fall off.
