I thought it was funny that the Tundra that pulls it is going to be displayed inside the museum too :jerkoff:

    Jackknife.

I wouldn't be ashamed of jack knifing the space shuttle though. That's a picture you get tattooed across your back!

    back to bone stock.
"But because the transporter is not on the Caltrans list of vehicles approved for towing over bridges, Toyota stepped in, volunteering a Tundra truck to tow Endeavour across the 405 Freeway on West Manchester"

this makes no sense to me..there is no better suited tow rig in between the mystery gigantic rig and a tundra? like a big rig?

What company was picked for the chain saws used to cut down the 400 trees that were in the way on the 11 mile trip?

Highly weighted in order to have enough traction to get it moving from a stand still.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWxMestl824 The Touareg has a tow rating over that of a Tundra.

That will be a cool event.

On a side note, I wouldn't be surprised if some Chevy/Dodge/Ford lovers out there bitch and complain that the shuttle won't be towed by an American vehicle.
