Heading down from camp this morning looking over fairplay.

Helping my cousin out with some building stuff and planning to hit up the Ellis Trail early Sunday and make my way north into Wyoming.

Been keeping busy so no time to explore much.

Last night i pulled out the glove box for more room to stretch in the truck and it was pretty nice. I think the mattress slid forward and i didn't feel like fixing it after i was already lying on it.

Made it north to steamboat. Hitting up the Ellis Jeep Trail in the morning which will dump us into Wyoming! Then the travels will begin.

So, a little update on the trip so far. Was hoping to have service for any little time at a camp spot, but I've just had service a tiny bit while driving.

I spent Sunday into Monday with @Reh5108 @Star-Lord @Squeaky Penguin @Night Eagle running a few trails from steamboat area. We also did a hell of a job clearing one of the trails (forgot what it was called).

The Sparco seat sits a little lower than the stock one and throws off my tire judgement while wheeling, so i need to re-learn where my tires are. Especially sucks for crests and seeing over the hood. That coupled with a tight trail (cut by atv/utv'ers just for their width) and i added some trail scars to the truck. Worst was from one tree that decided to get on top of the slider instead of under, scratch down the rocker panel, break a tab on the rear fender flare while creasing the bed a little. It was a tiny green tree that was knocked over and got caught and bent around causing the damage. Doh!

Three of us camped and worked on young Bretts shop class final project. I cleaned the dust out of the interior since it was pretty bad then drove around and ended up in Walden since I wanted to see a bunch of moose and hadn't been there. Teaser... I saw no fucking moose.

I drove up the trail to Baker (i think) pass trail. That trail was quite narrow. I hiked out a mile and a half until the sky started looking sketchy. Returned to a father and son on ATVs who were quite impressed to see a pickup at the top. Chatted with them for a little while before heading down.

Did some laundry, headed north and ate lunch on Independence Mountain since it just seemed right... Then punctured the tread of my tire on something. Plugged that fucker and carried on into Wyoming and currently sitting on a rock in Medicine Bow NF with a shitty view (not shitty... Thought i might be able to attach one picture, but it's been trying for a few minutes) thinking about what i want to snack on.

So far this trip... I failed to plan for so many bugs. Holy shit the mosquitoes want to carry me away. Or flies or some big bee looking things earlier today. I've used the hell out of my bug netting for the windows and have slept in the truck every night just because it's so easy. I also should've kept one of my simple tripod chairs since i have the comfy one but don't always feel like getting it out.

I'll try to find some cell service tomorrow to upload a bunch of pictures.
