I was asking because it looks like 3 or 4 Mavic competitors released their models at CES last week. Hoping they really start dropping in price.

I saw a blurb somewhere that GoPro ditched their drone program and employees.

Why... less than 10 minutes to the start of more forest service roads and single track than you can shake a stick at. :p

I'll bring up the bike and test it out. Also finally found a lead on a decent priced tundra today, so we'll see if that goes through.

    ehh

    maybe not exactly.

But GM makes the color that I wanted the Tundra in.... at least someone listens to consumers. And look at those rounded wheel wells.

Since I wont be building the truck... I guess it'll be a house build thread. :bananadance: Although Tundy might get a dual ARB compressor since it is nice to have the air compressor availability when you forgot the compressor or dont have power.

Current power situation is $2k for a power meter/pole. That's if the transformer will support it since the house across the street is also on the transformer. If not, the cost could be as much as $6k for that. After that, the power would have to be trenched and run to the house which is ~$1500/100ft in materials.

So, I'm hoping the transformer is large enough. I dont plan on using much power, and the power company does net metering so I'll throw some solar panels up without the need for all the storage capacity and shoot that back onto the grid. $100 work order with the power company will get them out to assess what the cost will be. Not sure when that'll be, but I wont be holding my breath.

Of course, if they want to tell me it'll be $6k for a transformer/pole, then I'll be up close to $10k in the end for the permission to get a monthly bill for power. At that point, its $10k for a complete solar system before $3k federal rebate and I'll go the solar direction. That solar system is likely quite oversized for what I'd need so I probably could bump it down a size and a couple grand.

Also getting the ball rolling on another part of the plan which is real far down the road, and I'll know about that next week.

Found the old survey pins today so I dont have to pay for another.
