Looking at adding a tuner or getting an OTT tune and scan gauge III for my 09 tacoma. Have an AFE stage 2 cold air intake( actual sealed box) intake, jet maf, AFE 76mm throttle body and magna flow cat back exhaust currently. Looking for something that will reprogram my ecu and odometer for slightly larger tires( and larger 33s or 35s in the future) aid in overall efficiency and a bit of power. Have a 6mt so shift points aren't a concern. Pedal control/ acceleration would be nice but not looking for a petal commander. And want something that I can keep an eye on mpg, engine temps etc, and being able to read/ clear dtc's would be nice. As far as tuners go I've narrowed it down to the Jet V-max performance module or the Bully Dog performance tuner, or as stated doing an OTT tune and adding a scan gauge III for parameters and dtc read outs. Any info on any of these options would be greatly appreciated. In the future I plan on adding headers, y- pipe and a different exhaust( axle dump more than likely) and eventually a supercharger( not sure on magnuson roots style or a procharger/ urd usa type centrifugal type at this point, but this is a little ways out right now.

A couple points that I will make are:

You can't change tire size with a tune due to how the speed signal works, you have to use a speedometer calibrator if you want to correct the speedometer/odometer for tires.

If you plan on supercharging you will either need to wait with a tune or get a spare PCM as the tunes I'm aware of update the PCM to the latest calibration which I believe makes it permanently ineligible to receive the supercharger calibration.

I run an HPTuners tune on mine by @JustDSM (OTT) and am happy with it.
