New to the Tacoma world. My previous (gas) truck had a plethora of tuners on the market for it. I was able to tune it and it made a real noticeable difference. Is there anything on the market for tuning the Tacoma 4.0?

Bummer. I've seen a few comments about URD maf...what does that do? And what about Unichip? Any good?

Get connectors. Add plugs into the factory harness. Make a patch harness for the AEM Infinity. Amazing little box. The world at your fingertips.

Honestly, it just depends on how far in-depth of tuning you want to do. MAF Cal has been proven many times to pick up power when properly tuned, and it is pretty simple.

Buy a UniChip and get its plugs. About the only good thing from it, since there is a severe lack of support here in the States.

URD is still working on trying to get the last plug or plugs. They've gotten close, but no one knows how long until those plugs will be ready, for the UCON to fit `09+. Except the G-man himself. Could be soon, could be a while.

    Uh....I have a turbo......

Toon had a turbo...... his was an '09.

Oh yeah.........if you get a turbo, and pop a ~6 - 8 psi spring in, install TRD s/c injectors, & drive to Toyota for the TRD reflash, it will work. If you don't feel like doing a standalone. Shhhh

The urd maf cal is great for the money... It controls the fuel for both open and closed loop and is easy to tune if you are used to setting up maps...

You can self tune the unichip but you have to buy the software for an additional $300 and it looks like simple maps from that point.....

But after adding an intake and good exhaust you will need to retune the fuel map to see the gains the computer won't compensate enough... You can also see gains on a stock truck from fixing the stock map.....
