So yesterday installed my folding tunnel cover. I’m a little disappointed that you can open it with a simple coat hanger. Has anyone come up with a locking mechanism or a way to secure the lid? None of the promotional videos showed how big of a gap there was. I’m very disappointed for the price that I spent.

Did they change the design? The one I have doesn’t look like that. It’s more of a finished end that sits firmly against the tailgate

This is on a 2008 long bed with the rail system. On the newer trucks down in the bed apparently.

Shoot some photos of yours if you have some time

Yeah, the third GEN have a different bed design. I find it suspicious how all the promo videos for the 2008 to 2004 trucks leave out house for tailgate. if I could send it back I would. my kiddo already disposed of the box and the restocking fee is like 25% plus the shipping.

Not sure if it makes it any better but if someone was gonna use a hangar to get into your bed, they were gonna break in regardless.

it should still be really nice! But odd that the end is different between them

Hi, specifically picked us up because I’ll be making a long drive with several firearms and just wanted to keep everything secured in the bed. I will have four adults in the cabin, or won’t be room for long rifles. Two days of driving one over night motel
