Chris i dont think you should be comparing this to 9/11.

Tupac was a huge influence for the lower class african american people and in the hiphop/rap genre in his time. I think the reason someone might get the "chills" is because his death was such a mystery. The words in his songs were very powerful and poetic to many people.

And those of you who are bashing this because hes black/rapper/gangster whatever your opinion on him is, just dont bother posting. Theres no need to! He has affected many peoples lives and some people could be very offended the same way you could be offended that heros died during 9/11. Lets keep the hate out guys!

True. But to an extent. I should have rephrased that. "If you have negative opinions about his music or him personally dont bother posting"

The discussion is about the hologram not whether or not he was a good or bad person/artist. Im not going to go around bashing garth brookes or country music because i think their music and lyrics suck.

I think that people's opinions of him are quite appropriate. If it was a hologram of Hank Williams, I would expect people to ask why such technology was wasted on a drug using hick. Why not the same discussion about Tupac?

I would personally rather have seen a hologram of Thomas Jefferson reading the Bill of Rights, but it would not sell as many tickets.

    :D
I do agree with you that he was involved in gang violence which is probly the reason he was killed. Not sure if you did but I didnt like how you stereotyped rappers as brainless thug gangsters and compared it to 9/11. I have respect for it a point but its one of those very controversial topics that can get me fired up.

Now you shut up and watch your documentary and have a spoonful of nutella.;)

    yup

and im sure the derp from idaho has atleast 1 singer/ artist/ musician that has skeletons in their closet. drugs/ arrests/ womanizing/ adultery yet hes over here acting holier than thou and bashing one of the greatest rappers of all time just cause he doesnt like the music.

youre so angry and full of derp its not even funny. i was merely giving an example of how full of shit you are. please post who you like to listen and then i can find some dirt and skeletons in their closet and say how you idolize some bigot/ crackhead/ adulterer/ alcoholic/ woman abuser/ etc.

I thought it was pretty cool. I just think its sad that they're going to tour him and desecrate his legacy. They are literally selling out his image for a buck, and sad because they were his so called "Friends". The Technology is ridiculous.

Also about the argument, I can understand how you can have a problem glamorizing the "thug" life but 1) Part of his legacy was one of the most innovative rappers who brought unto light the "gheto" lifestyle blacks are sometimes forced to live by, he really wasn't glamorizing it. It was because of him that people started the bullshit ghetto thing because they "thought it was cool". 2) Though he had that ghetto "thug" persona, a lot of the songs he wrote were not violence related, a lot we're very R&B lyrics with a hip hop rtyhmn, another innovative things which made him great.
I have to agree with another user when he said he that you really can't glamorize any musician due to their "lifestyle", especially anyone in the rock scene, everyone has bad habits and sinful natures. Its human nature and you can't hate anyone for that.

Back on topic: With the touring of tupac the business industry has found a new way to make a buck and even a new way to milk the cash cow of dead musicians they used to once manage. No matter what though, you can't beat the original and none can ever recreate the original mind of the artist.
