    And I gave up on making the truck real fast as there just isn't any aftermarket available for it, and I didn't feel like working with Cometic on a head gasket. So I bought and IS300 and turbo'd it, nothing like a boosted 2JZ!

    Ok so you guys are all talking about a turbo set up, why not a supercharger? The 2tr-fe has such a low rev that I feel it would benefit more from a supercharger.

    Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
    Having built up a stock turbo Volvo another lifetime ago using parts from just about every damn vehicle manufacturer since 1960, I would suggest researching which turbo motor from any manufacturer has the best numbers you're looking for (be that longevity, fuel economy, torque, low/mid/top-end power, whatever) and look into swapping out the Yota motor. The cost difference is going to work out to be about the same, but everything having to deal with stock boost vs. boosted NA is going to heavily favor a swap. Yes, I realize sourcing a complete setup, including ECU/etc., will be a challenge, but I would certainly suggest looking into that option.


    Boosted I4 beats a V6 any damn day in my book. One of the reasons I was shopping for a DCLB TRD Off Road with the I4......too bad no such thing exists.


    Now with all that said, can I interest you in taking a load of turbo parts off my hands? I've got two or three IC's sitting around (two from an Isuzu NPR), a custom T3/T4-60E turbo, BOV, a number of injectors, a couple fuel pumps, adjustable rising-rate FPR, gauges, you name it. Volvo long block mated to a Mustang 5-speed are also available.

    So u really just want a DC 4 banger that has the offroad package!? Why not just buy whatever style DC 2tr they make and add on whatever u want to it! Duh ;)
