Tell us all about the mystical Toyota turbo and hybrid batteries that get to 300K with no issues. This should be good.

Since you think you know something please tell everyone here that we will get 250K-300K out of the 2024 Tacoma turbos and hybrid batteries with no issues. I want to hear you say it.

Are you actually going to say anything about turbos and hybrid batteries lasting longer than I stated? Teach us. Come on.

What are you on about? I didn’t say the engines would be good or bad I asked what research you did and all you said was “ I know some people”

Listen this has been stimulating and all but it seems like you almost got the point. You even answered my question twice and didn't realize it. So I got my answer as backwards as it may have been but you'll figure out one day why your original post was met with questions.

It’s called real life experience. Or a simple google search on turbos would have given you the answers you seek. If I want to try to get 300K out of my new Tacoma I now have to worry about the turbo or batteries going bad before my motor. Didn’t have to worry about that before last week. This is not a valid concern of mine? Are you serious?

Tell us about your extensive knowledge on turbos lasting on average twice a long as 150K. Not a one in million.on average. Same goes for hybrid batteries. Thing is. I know you won’t and can’t. Because that info doesn’t exist. I have never seen someone make so many post and say absolutely nothing. I am actually impressed. That is tough to do.

As far as my first post on page 1 I made it clear exactly what I meant by the end of page one. You knew what I was saying early and just didn’t want to hear anything potentially negative about your new truck purchase. To act confused about my first post on page 1 this late in the thread is disingenuous. Nice try though.

Toyota has always stood for being very reliable with a low cost of ownership for many many miles. They stood for long term reliability. Now they add new things to the Tacoma that were never there to worry about before. I bought a new truck in 2003 and took it to 300K with almost no issues and very little cost of ownership. So if at 150K I need an expensive turbo rebuild and at 190K I need to replace an expensive battery pack I would then feel the new Tacomas were not nearly as good of a vehicle than the previous generations. Not as good as far as long term reliability and cost of ownership. For anyone looking to keep their truck long term this is a potential concern.

For the last time these are my concerns. I would never tell someone else not to buy one. Me talking about my concerns is just me trying to talk myself into buying a 2024. Plenty to love on these trucks

A better comparison point would be the Tundra, the hybrid gets a 1 MPG Average increase over the the regular turbo engine.

You contribute nothing to your own thread. You should stop while you are ahead (or behind really).

I think it's safe to say this is the official first shit post of the 4th gen section. Congrats :)

Ford has been building turbocharged "Ecoboost" engines for over 15 years.

Yet, they state flat-out that the turbos are designed to run 150k miles...
