Well it is going into the fifth week. They had to do some change orders so the air to water cooler wont be here until Monday. But they did install my new lift as a consolation prize in the mean time. I am going over today to check it out. They are promising me that it will be done next week and that it is going to be a totally different truck when I drive away with it, we will see. I was told that it is a pretty basic setup and will only see 80-100 horsepower increase, and being that I have driven this truck since it was driven off the lot and Toyota says that this model bases at 190hp stock I dont know what to expect. I will post some pictures when I get it back.

 Cant wait to see this. At 100hp increase, it will still be slow, but way less slow lol.

Any idea how many pounds of boost your kit will run?

What are you using to tune for the turbo kit?

Is it a front mount or a rear mount?

The air to air cooler wouldnt work because they needed to mount it behind the front bumper and with Relentless Armour coming there wasnt enough clearance. So they ordered a water to air to mount in the same place as the housing for the air filter and I guess who ever they ordered it from has to fabricate it and it is taking for ever.

If you know how turbos work you know that a remote turbo is a very inefficient way to do it. If you are going to spend the money, might as well do it right.

I understand that people mount them remotely in applications where it is not possible to do so under the hood but that doesn't change the fact that it is not the ideal location. The tacoma has plenty of room under the hood, so a remote mount turbo would be sacrificing performance for no reason

Its not just increased lag you are getting. You are also going to lose top end power because the turbo isn't going to spin as fast as an engine mount
